After the success of the previous Operating System, Windows 7, Microsoft Corporation has developed an OS originally intended for touchscreen gadgets such as tablets and smartphones. Last 26th of October 2012, Windows 8 was released in the market.
With new wide-ranging features and new capabilities honed within the system. It can support USB 3.0 (Universal Serial Bus technology - version 3) , ARM architecture (computer processor), Cloud computing (very fast computed delivery of services over a remote cloud of network to another remote cloud of network, "specifically file transfer and file recovery over the Internet" ), UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) boot system for a secured booting operation and act as an antivirus; and also as a replacement for the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) firmware interface.
It also have support for 4Kn advanced format and near field communication of the portable digital devices.
Windows 8 already has the Skype and Windows Store applications. Windows Store shall be used for the touchscreen devices.
